2016, it's Summer, and Wake with the Sun is back in action

It's been a long push, but we are finally starting to settle in here on Bear Island on lake Winnipesaukee. We had our first night in the houseboat last night. How nice it is. Getting here involved putting the boat into the lake at Fay's Boat Yard in Gilford, NH on Friday afternoon, after the drive up We then moved into the tiny house, installed the motor, and drove both cars up to Meredith, where we spent the night.

We woke early Sat. morning and drove back down to Fays in one car, while we had left the other car at Y landing near Meredith. We put the two kayaks into the water and I road these out of the boat yard while Claude manned the houseboat. I took a little bit of video along the way, so hope to post this soon, when I am not so tired.

Once we left Fay's, we motored to 5 mile island to hang out before we could take occupancy of the rental on Bear Island. Finally we arrived at Bear, but then had to ferry for the car we left at Fays. Claude took a ride down there, and I meet him later at Y landing with the double kayak.

Finally last night we had a delicious dinner (cooked by moi)..sorry no photos of that, unfortunately. This morning we woke with the sun. The water was placid, so I set out before 7 am on my paddle board, and then for a long swim in the cool waters.ul I couldn't be happier, if not a little less tired.

OK...here are some photos for you.
