May Flowers

Here's wishing you all goood memories on this memorial day weekend and hopefully some joy you are experiencing to spend time with your loved ones. We have been doing our usual, spending time on the lake, paddle-boarding and swimming. And taking the houseboat out for dinner and to see the sunset when we can. Plus some other projects, including Claude installing a new floor downstairs here on the island.

Last night was the first night that all of our neighbors in the cove were here, so all the homes in our cove were lit up. It was nice to see.

Since my last posting, we have taken a hike and some bike rides and I have taken part in some poetry events, including the Carlisle Poetry Festival. On our hike up Black Mountain I saw red trilliums in bloom, as well as trout lily, hobblebush, and others.

Then on the 21st we headed out the the Farmstand B&B to hear the Bobby Keyes quartet performing and it was a lovely night of great music and food.

Here are some photos for you.
