Thursday evening.... we moved to Vermont today!

Today after we finished some of the house chores, we were finally able to take off on our first trip. We crossed Lake Champlain about two miles to a cove near D.A.R. State Park in VT. We are in heaven. Here are some photos of the crossing, the evening, and dinner. I cooked lentils with rice with my homemade curry tonight. Yummy dinner in our cozy tiny house. We are sleeping on anchor tonight. I can hear the waves rustling against the shore, and lapping through our pontoons. The sun is setting behind the adirondacks.

Thursday, and we are finally settling in

It's Thursday, and we had our first night on the boat last night. We did "wake with the sun"..the name of our boat....but we have not made a wake yet. But I did wake to bird song, and a train, and the lapping of the water against the boat. Very nice day indeed. But then I remembered I had left a sweatshirt at the hotel we stayed at Tuesday night, and the hotel was about 15 miles away, so I road with the brompton up there and back. That was a tough ride, but lovely country with beautiful countryside, mountain views, and views of the lake.
