Climate Change Photos, Winter of 2015-2016

As the days are getting longer and the perennials are starting to sprout from the soil, I am reflecting on this past winter, where we had a few very cold days, and very little snow or skateable ice.

This year was apparently an "el nino" year, the warm side of the oscillation in sea surface temperature of the tropical southern and eastern Pacific Ocean. We felt it here in New England this winter, where I had one day where I could skate on ice, few days where I could cross-country ski, and, aside from a few frigid days, much of the time was quite warm. I even took my paddle board out twice this winter in March. Here are some photos from this winter in New England with a few from New York.
