Good-bye to Wake with the Sun for the season, Farewell Champlain

Well, we did it. We had one last swim in Lake Willoughby, and then stopped by Martha's Diner in Coventry, before driving through the Jay State Forest and back to New England Powerboat Marina in N. Hero, where we took the boat out. Bob, the builder, met us there with the trailer just as the house was hanging in mid-air, waiting to be put down. That evening we stayed at a lovely inn called the Thomas Mott Homestead Bed and Breakfast, and while Bob and Claude finished taking the boat apart, I headed out on my bike to see a bit of Isle La Motte.
